We consider ourselves one of the few remaining “mom and pop” summer camps. As a result of our size and key values, Wayfarer has been able to retain the spirit and intention set forth during our very first summer in 1991.
“Camp exists in this kind of bubble where you can just be who you want to be. From jumping in Lake Chamois every morning, to cabin campfires under the stars, every day at camp is full of magic with my best friends.”
Each one of our 30+ activities is designed to inspire and teach unique skill-sets, sportsmanship, creativity, community, healthy-living and so much more.
We know all of our families by name, not by number, and we always cater to the individual needs of our campers. We’ve never forgotten why we’re in this business and we strive to show this through every aspect of our operation.
Wayfarer counselors have a profound impact on each and every camper and staff member present. We hire only those individuals who are selfless and devoted to making a difference in a camper’s life.
This is the time of year when we take to the drawing board and begin our off-season construction and renovations.
Greetings and welcome to the new Wayfarer Compass blog! Mary Kenson and Ben here, writing to you from Nashville, TN to kick-off our first post. We hope this letter finds everyone happy and healthy.
